I’m not sure if you’ve noticed or not, but eating healthy can be expensive when you are on a budget. Here are some tips that along with trusting God will help you manage your budget. The Daniel fast isn’t about getting full on fruits and vegetables. It’s about getting closer to God. Here are some real world tips to help you.
Gluten Free Daniel’s Fast
What is gluten?
Gluten is a name given to the proteins found in white, rye, barley, and triticale. Gluten helps foods maintain their shape acting as a glue to keep the shape intact. These items can include:
Wheat – breads, baked goods, soups, pasta, cereals, sauces, and salad dressings.
Barley – malt, food coloring, soups, malt vinegar, and beer.
Rye – breads and cereals.
Triticale is a newer grain grown to mimic wheat.
When following the Daniel’s fast try to stick to oats, buckwheat, corn, Job’s tears (or Hato Mugi), millet, quinoa, rice, sorghum, and wild rice products.
Psalms 19:7-11 (NKJV)
7The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul; The testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple; 8The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; The commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes; 9The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever; The judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether. 10More to be desired are they than gold, Yea, than much fine gold; Sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb. 11Moreover by them Your servant is warned, And in keeping them there is great reward.
1 John 4:18 (NKJV)
There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.
