Ingredients:
3 Acorn Squash
1/4 cup Honey, Molasses, or Maple Syrup
1 tbsp. Vanilla
Dash Nutmeg
1 cup Water
Directions:
Cut squash into 1/2 inch thick dime shapes. Place in shallow casserole dish and add water. Mix honey, molasses, or maple syrup with vanilla and nutmeg in separate bowl. Pour mixture over squash. Cover casserole dish with foil. Bake in pre-heated oven at 350° for about 30 minutes. Add more water if squash in not tender. Pierce with a fork to check for tenderness. Makes 4 servings.
